The Panini Group, based in Modena, Italy, is the world’s largest publisher of collectible products. The company employs more than 1200 people in twelve subsidiaries and has distribution channels in more than 150 countries. Panini Verlags GmbH is one of Germany’s largest publishers in the children and youth segment and is Germany’s biggest publisher of comics. Around 70 employees work at the company’s headquarters in Stuttgart. Panini in Germany publishes around 130 book, 750 comic and 50 magazine titles as well as 30 collectible products (stickers, trading cards and more) every year. Panini is also known to a wide audience for its tradition as a publisher of football collector’s sticker collections.

We have advised and represented the German subsidiary comprehensively in all commercial law matters since its establishment in 1974. We advise Panini Verlags GmbH as a publishing company in particular on (copyright) licensing issues. However, we also provide advice on matters of commercial law, for example in connection with the distribution of press products.
