“KF1” – short for “Kardinal-Faulhaber-Strasse 1” – is the address of the former headquarters of HypoVereinsbank AG in Munich (now UnicreditBank AG) in Munich.

After UnicreditBank AG vacated the building, the Schörghuber Group, which had acquired the property, asked Glock Liphart Probst & Partner to handle the provisional planning permission and building permit procedures to convert the listed building into a hotel, to be operated by the Rosewood Group.

The approvals were challenged by neighbours, but their legality was confirmed in numerous court cases, all the way to the Federal Administrative Court. Through parallel efforts, we were also able to negotiate a sustainable compromise with the neighbours.

After a lengthy construction period, the first Rosewood Hotel in Germany will open in 2023 at Kardinal-Faulhaber-Straße 1.
