Thomas Michel advises on individual and collective labour law, insolvency law and liability law.

In labour law, the focus of his work is on individual labour law. When advising his clients on personnel decisions, he emphasises the strategic aspects in addition to legal considerations. Thomas Michel also has extensive experience in proceedings to determine freelance or employment status.

Within the scope of his insolvency law practice, he primarily works on the prosecution of creditors’ rights in insolvency proceedings and the defence of avoidance actions against insolvency administrators.

He also advises on almost all aspects of liability law, from the settlement of claims to recourse for pension providers and the prosecution of insurance law claims, including claims relating to residential building insurance. In cases of claims relating to residential building insurance, his works connect with the field of real estate.

Thomas Michel enjoys an excellent reputation among his clients and insurers for his expertise and reliability.

He is a member of the COMMERCIAL LAW team at Glock Liphart Probst & Partner.

Due to his extensive experience as a specialist lawyer for labour law, Thomas Michael is able to advise on a broad spectrum of questions of individual and collective labour law.

In addition to small and medium-sized companies, his client base also includes employees and executives.

Thomas Michel assists companies with strategic planning and implementation, often in the context of longstanding cooperations, and he has extensive litigation experience. He also advises employees on matters of dismissal by dismissal or termination agreement, and prosecutes wrongful dismissal litigation at all court levels with extensive expertise.

On the issue of status determination, Thomas Michel regularly advises clients in their preparation for recruitment as well as during proceedings for the determination of employment status and during audits.

He has considerable experience representing his clients against the German Pension Insurance Association and health insurers, both out of court and at all court levels.

As a specialist for insolvency law, Thomas Michel has specialised in particular on the defence of avoidance claims and the enforcement of creditors’ rights in insolvency proceedings.

In liability law, Thomas Michel has many years of experience in claims settlement both in and out of court, from traffic accidents and breaches of the duty to maintain general safety to the enforcement of complex insurance claims. Insurance companies also regularly entrust him with the enforcement of recourse claims.

Thomas Michel is a member of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Verkehrsrecht (WG Traffic Law) of the Deutsche Anwaltsverein (German Bar Association).
